Meals are what we are known for here at The Anchor Hotel and locals and holidaymakers alike are drawn to the pub to enjoy our cooking. Using as much local produce as possible, our team of chefs prepare our popular menu as well as producing a range of high quality daily specials.
Local fish is a speciality, with lobster, sea bass and crab regularly appearing on the menu. When the weather is fine and sunny there can be no greater pleasure in life than sitting at an outside table watching the world go by.
We have a comprehensive wine list, with many wines available by the glass, along with our ever popular own-label house wine. Real ales are a speciality and there is always a brew available from Sulwath brewers, the local micro-brewery in Castle Douglas.
